Regions of possible cultivation – North Caucasus, Central Black Earth, Lower Volga, Far Eastern In normal years, grain yield is 2.2-2.6 t/ha, in wet years it is up to 3.6-4.5 t/ha.
Due to increased drought-resistance and deep root system, it is able to produce high grain yields in years with a precipitation deficit.
In the Krasnodar region, it ripens in 20-30 August – 1-10 September. In the Southern piedmont and Central areas of the region, it can be sown from the end of March - beginning of April.
The seedlings sustain short-term frosts down to minus 4.5-5.0 °C.
It has a very deep root system - the central root can go to a depth of 2.5 m.
In case of very early sowing (the end of March - the beginning of April), it ripens in 1-10 August.
