Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation toured the pavilions of the XXIII All-Russian Agricultural Exhibition “Golden Autumn”. At the exhibition stand of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the achievements of subordinate organizations of the Ministry in the field of agricultural sciences were presented to Valery Nikolaevich.
At the stand of V.S. Pustovoit All-Russian Research Institute of Oil Crops, Vyacheslav Lukomets demonstrated and spoke about the benefits of new varieties and hybrids of oil crops, developed, among other places, in the breeding and seed production center in the field of oil crops.
“In 2021, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation provided unprecedented support measures to agro-industrial scientific institutions as part of the national project “Science and Universities”. On a competitive basis, 35 breeding and genetic centers were established. A total of 3.7 billion rubles has been allotted for their establishment and development. More than 1 billion rubles have been allotted to upgrade the instrumentation base, and 1.5 billion rubles were allotted to provide modern agricultural machinery and equipment”, Valery Falkov said of the support measures for agricultural research organizations and experimental farms.
