On June 17, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., on the leader id online platform, an interregional online conference “Technologies and innovations for sustainable development: REC experience” took place on the initiative of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.
Inna Belyaeva, the public representative of ASI in the Krasnodar region, was the organizer and moderator of the conference.
At the conference, participants-representatives of REC from different regions discussed the prospects for sustainable business models and breakthrough products, innovative technologies that can bring us closer to achieving sustainable development goals as part of REC activities.
Today, the focus of attention is the economic decarbonization, the transformation of the higher education system, “green” technologies and “green” financing, ESG factors, “clean” energy, biotechnology, personalized nutrition, nanomaterials, electric transport, environmentally safe materials, artificial intelligence.
By order of the Governor of the Krasnodar region, Veniamin Ivanovich Kondratiev, on March 30, 2021a world-class Research and Educational Center (REC) was founded in the Krasnodar region. A world-class REC is a special kind of partnership that integrates all levels of education, the capabilities of universities, scientific organizations, and businesses to promote technological development.
The conference was opened by Dmitry Borisovich Loshkov, head of the REC support department of the strategic development department of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

Anisimov Viktor Vladimirovich, director of the Kuban Science Foundation, operator of a world-class REC in the Krasnodar region with the topic “Removal of barriers to bring the developments of scientific teams to enterprises for the creation of R&D.
Kurilo Kirill Vadimovich, deputy head of department for development of corporate sales channel of “Rosselkhozbank” spoke on the role of digital platforms development in supporting small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises and the development of “green investment”.
The speech of Romanova Galina Maksimovna of the rector of Sochi State University coincided with the signing of an agreement on the South of Russian joining the REC.
All participants noted the tendency towards consolidation and interregional unification of participants through the development of consortia as a part of REC activities.
