The seminar on "The technologies for the efficient cultivation of fodder and oil crops"
On August 6, the scientists of V.S. Pustovoit All-Russian Research Institute of Oil Crops took part in the seminar on the "The technologies for the efficient cultivation of fodder and oil crops".
The seed breeding company “SibAgroCenter” together with the farm household “Nauka” organized the seminar with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Altai territory.
The reports of the scientists of V.S. Pustovoit All-Russian Research Institute of Oil Crops were of a particular interest to agricultural producers.
Ivan Shulyak, the leading agriculturist in plant protection of V.S. Pustovoit All-Russian Research Institute of Oil Crops and PhD in biology, shared his knowledge in the field of “sunflower diseases and modern methods of controlling them”. Agrarians highly appreciate the famous phytopathologist for his vast experience and willingness to share his knowledge.
Alexander Bushnev, the head of the laboratory of agrotechnology of V.S. Pustovoit All-Russian Research Institute of Oil Crops and PhD in agriculture, made a report “The agrotechnology of high yields of sunflower”. Also, Vasily Makhonin, the leading employee of the laboratory of agrotechnology and PhD in agriculture, spoke about “The agrotechnology of high yields of soybean”.
Alexandra Latanovskaya, the breeder of “SibAgroCenter” closed the plenary part of the seminar by introducing the company’s breeding program and spoke about new varieties and hybrids.
The practical part of the event took place on the fields of the farm household “Nauka”. The company’s specialists, scientists and farmers had there a productive dialogue.
