The tragedy touched every family and went through the heart of every citizen of the USSR. It also affected the staff of the Institute of Oil Crops.

The workers of V.S. Pustovoit All-Russian Research Institute of Oil Crops joined the nationwide campaign and lit a candle at the Memorial to the employees of the institute who died during the Second World war. Of the 75 people who went to war, 40 did not return home.

To commemorate those terrible days and the heroic deeds of their ancestors, the administration and employees of V.S. Pustovoit All-Russian Research Institute of Oil Crops laid flowers at the Memorial and honored the memory of the 27 million who died in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 with a minute of silence.
