On August 20, the “Field day of hybrids of sugar beet, sunflower, and soybean varieties” took place at the “Urupskoye Experimental station” in the Rodnikovsky farm of the Novokubansky district of the Krasnodar region.
Among the attendees were: Vladimir Andreevich Beketov, the Senator of the Russian Federation, a member of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly for Science; Sergei Viktorovich Shatokhin, a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnodar region, a member of the committee for the development of the agro-industrial complex and food; representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Processing Industry; authorities of the Krasnodar region and agricultural producers from different regions of the Russian Federation.
The breeding achievements of the Institute were shown to the guests: high-yielding soybean varieties Vilana, Slavia, Irbis, Triada, Vilana beta, etc.; a unique seed plot of a new sunflower hybrid for SUMMO technology – Surus; a seed plot of sunflower hybrids Grant and Gorfild; domestic sugar beet hybrids of Pervomaiskaya experimental station and Soyuzsemsvekla.
The specialists of the Institute and “Shchelkovo Agrokhim” presented new plant production products, talked about the main elements of the cultivation technology of sugar beet, and suggested end-to-end solutions for agricultural producers.
The attendees highly appreciated the varieties and hybrids of breeding of V.S. Pustovoit All-Russian Institute of Oil Crops, sugar beet hybrids Pervomaisky, Rubin, and the effectiveness of the plant protection products from insect pests by “Shchelkovo Agrokhim” company.
