During the event, there were reviewed topics on the basics of genetics and breeding of oil crops (sunflower, soybean, cruciferous crops), methods of the establishment of field agrotechnological experiments, methods of field and laboratory research on the protection of oil crops from diseases and pests, methodological approaches in determining the economic efficiency of field experiments. The event was aimed at young scientists and specialists from various scientific and educational institutions of the Russian Federation related to agriculture.

On November 6, 2020, by decision of the Academic Council, a grove of “Memory and Glory” was opened on the territory of V.S. Pustovoit All-Russian Research Institute of Oil Crops (17 Filatova street, Krasnodar) to preserve the historical memory and to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
Forum 21.10.2020

On October 15-16, 2020, the 5th All-Russian specialized forum on breeding and seed growing “Russkoye pole” took place. The event was held at the Federal Research Center of Rice.

As part of the business program of the forum, several panel discussions took place on the following subjects:

“What law does the industry need? Points of view on the need for the development and control of the State Registry of Breeding Achievements”. The moderator was I.A. Lobach.

“Pros and cons of using GMO in domestic breeding”. The moderator was V.M. Lucomets.
