On January 26, 2018, FGBNU VNIIMK in collaboration with the company "Agri 2.0 Precision Farming" held a seminar "The experience of practical application of precise agriculture on the example of farm business in the Oryol region".
It was demonstrated that there are scanners capable to evaluate the mechanical composition of soil, the humus content, the acidity of soil at a speed of 8-12 km/h. The scanner passes through the field at an interval of 24 m.
Precise mapping of soil fertility allows more economic use of fertilizers and lower costs for crop production.
The seminar was attended by agronomists of the Krasnodar region.
Christian de Vries, company's representative, made a report.
